The village of Schenevus is about 30
minutes from Cooperstown and about 25 minutes from Dreams Park
or All Star Village. This village was settled in 1793
under the name Jacksonboro and thrived with sawmills, grit
mills, a coopershop, and tannery. The name was changed to
Schenevus in 1848. A short walk from Fleurs de Jardin
(flowers of the garden) takes you to the Chief Schenevus
Restaurant and Bakery, a bank, post office and the school
playground. |

Fleurs de Jardin, one of
the oldest houses in the village, has been beautifully
renovated to hold its own in the 21st century - a modern
kitchen with dishwasher, an office with computer and
high speed internet, a library with a good supply of
reading material and livingroom with TV and DVD.
The master bedroom has a queen bed and attached full
bathroom. The other bedrooms consist of one with a
full and twin bed, another with a full bed and a fourth
bedroom with a twin bed. Air conditioners keep the place comfortably cool! No
Smoking, No Pets and
No Team Parties.

There are two more full bathrooms -
one on the first floor and one on the second floor. Behind
the house is a large private stone patio with a gas grill and
summer furniture. Many cell
phones work in this area, but there us also a house phone for
local calls or for use with a calling card. |
