The village of Schenevus is about 25 minutes from Cooperstown and about 20 minutes from Dreams Park or All Star Village.  This village was settled in 1793 under the name Jacksonboro and thrived with sawmills, grit mills, a coopershop, and tannery.  The name was changed to Schenevus in 1848. 

Fleurs de Jardin, one of the oldest houses in the village, has been beautifully renovated to hold its own in the 21st century.

A short walk from Fleurs de Jardin (flowers of the garden in French) takes you to the Chief Schenevus Restaurant and Bakery, a bank, post office and the school playground. For recreation and a change from baseball less than five minutes away, Seward Lake Town Park has a beach with lifeguard, swimming and fishing, Tuesday through Sunday!

This historic home features a spacious eclectic living room with cable TV and DVD, dining room, a modern kitchen with dishwasher, an office with computer and high speed internet, a library with a good supply of reading material, and washer and dryer.

Behind the house is a large private stone patio with a gas grill and summer furniture.

The owners of Fleurs de Jardin have a barn on the property in the back which is devoted to their artwork and sculptures.  Many of these pieces are also displayed in this house and in the yard.

The master bedroom has a queen bed and attached full bathroom.  The other bedrooms consist of one with a full and twin bed, another with a full bed and a fourth bedroom with a twin bed.

Two of the bedrooms also have TV.  Air conditioners keep the place comfortably cool! There are two more full bathrooms - one on the first floor and one on the second floor.
